Official: Russia’s power consumption up by 1.2% since January 1
MOSCOW, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- Energy consumption has grown by 1.2% since the year start but declined by 0.6% in October the temperature factor discounted, Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak said on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week.
"Concerning consumption, there was a growth of 1.2% as of October 9, or by 0.86% in absolute figures in the nine months. A minus 0.6% was registered since the beginning of the month," Grabchak said.
The official added that taking into account the current cold week, the loss will likely be erased.
